What A Way 2 End A Wii-kend!

All bad puns aside, I was first in line to purchase my Wii @ Ebgames. There really wasn't too much of a hassle although the line quickly expanded once they started opening the UPS boxes that contained the consoles. It was really exciting to be honest, I mean all the gamers in the store took a serene moment of silence as we watched the Official Nintendo Wii clock countdown until midnight. It was beautiful man just beautiful.I've mostly been creating my Mii profile/avatar? I've also played a little Wii Sports to kill time until my games arrive. I may just get Trauma Center afterall since I've seen the reviews and R8's recommendation pretty much sealed the deal. I also got the first 3 seasons of Disney's Gummi Bears on DVD for Nostalgic purposes....I grew up watching that show(around late 80's and early 90's), so it's cool to see it again and show it to my little brothers. Oh yeah, the mag mostly talks about Casino Royale, of course, and it sucks more for me considering I probably can't go see it until Wednesday because I working everyday until then..sigh.

This thing is so small...it's no bigger than any of those boxsets in the background!

Death,Destruction and Depletion of Dough

Deep Discount DVD or "DDD" as I call it (notice the D's in the title) are having their bi-annual 20% off sale. Everyone knows that entails spending copious amounts of money on DVDs,Blu-Ray,HD-DVDs, and *cough* UMD's. Alright, maybe the last one not so much, but I've already seen totals in the $1,000 range from some of the members @ the DVD Talk forums. I tried to show a bit more composure this year and ordered a bit lighter than usual, but that could be because the Wii streets this weekend. Here are my most recent pick-ups....I'll probably ease up the remainder of the year and put Video games back in the #1 spot instead of number #2.

Here's a group shot of everything (I like a little bit of everything as you can see)

CPM Stuff...a little bit of Retro goodness mixed with some new never hurt anyone...right?

A Live Action Sukiyaki if you will...(Vermilion Pleasure Night Vols.#1-3, Kamikaze Girls and Initial D 2-disc)

Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig Vol.#7 (w/figure,OST and artbox) I completely suck @ assembling figures whether they be Gundam models or capsule toys.

Kamichu Vols.#1 - 3 w/artbox and LE pencil boards (Utsukushii-Beautiful)

Ichigo Mashimaro Vols# 1 -3 w/artbox + 2007 mini calendar (too cute for words)

I didn't even order this, but it was in my package when I opened it lol...I guess someone in shipping knew I was a Jackie Chan fan. Freebies rule even if they are edited!

Unpremeditated Purchases of A Vanquished Playboy

A very busy day today, but things should slow down until Friday. I'm hoping to catch up on a portion of my backlog and start on FFXII. I've been searching the web in hopes of finding an "ideal" video game shelf. My current game shelf is literally bursting at the seams and I'm stacking my games on the floor.I mean where the hell am I gonna put my Wii Games!? I haven't had any luck so far finding a new shelf, but hopefully I'll come across something that catches my eye. However, if the girlfriend finds out I'm spending more ca$h,I'll be getting a black eye lol. Here's the latest DVD pick-ups.

Jeri Ryan=Hawt..Nuff Said...oh yeah the final Genshiken volume and 2 Jackie
Chan flicks.

Nana Collection = Got it Cheap...yeah that's about it

Speed Grapher LE Vol.#1...well it was much better than I thought it would be and the packaging is just oozes...sexiness. My Girlfriend's ChiK Flix in the background.

Aquarian Age: The Movie...I haven't finished viewing the series, but the movie came with a lot of cool crap. My personal favorite were the keychains.

Otogi Zoshi...I got this pretty cheap as well, and I heard the show is pretty good.

Kekko Kamen (Live Action) Movies..Ahem weird..very weird

Petite Princess Yucie...Cute packaging although I don't really like thinpacks.

Overtime Overload!!

Oh Boy! I am exhausted....I've been pulling about 50+hours @ work, and the funny thing is that it's just now catching up with me. I haven't even had a chance to start on FFXII, but I have been watching the bonus disc in between naps.

I'm finding the Interviews and the Final Fantasy timeline featurettes to be surprisingly enjoyable. This is a rarity for me because I'm usually the first person to press the fast forward button when it comes to some times boring interviews. I don't know what it is, but for some reason I don't feel that I should start on this game until I at least finish a couple of games in my backlog....blah what am I talking about? That would take probably a year a or two, so I'll most likely start this on Tuesday or maybe Wednesday. I know the pictures are Crap-tastic, but I was half asleep when I took them lol.Oh yeah, for the record I guess the Ashe cover is starting to grow on me....go figure.
