Iron Man Rocked My Socks Off !!!

Another typical easy breezy Sunday at home. I had the day off, so I did the usual, go to the movies of course. I must say I am notorious for going to the movies on Sundays because if it's opening weekend....EVERYONE is there. I'm not really a fan of big crowds, I have space issues lol. Anyways, as you all know, I'm a humongous comic book buff...and always have been. I remember the days in 3rd grade, trading my X-Men comics for Spiderman comics. Then only later to realize I wanted to keep both after the trade had finalized..usually ending in tears and lots of hugs lol.

So, after suffering a small bout of cabin fever, I headed down to the local cineplex to see what all the fuss was about. My expectations for the film were high and I'm pleasured to say that they were blown completely out of the water! The movie was simply awesome, and I know the director wanted to give it a more "realistic" feel. I simply must say that he succeeded on every standpoint. The CG was seamless, the actors were complete shoes ins for there roles and there was even a slight hint at Tony Stark's bud "War Machine"...I smell a sequel baby! This is another release that I'm anticipating once it hits DVD...I'm predicting late October-ish. So, all in all great summer blockbuster....we're already to a great start!

GTA IV Finally!

I couldn't wait to leave work so I could go pick this up. It's definitely been a long time coming, but it's finally here. I opted for the CE because i'm a sucker for extra packaging lol. I'll be playing this tonight so for everyone else that got it enjoy, I know I will.

Let The (Fes)tivities Begin!!!

I just got back from Gamestop...bringing back with me one of my more anticipated titles of 2008, "Persona 3: Fes". I must say that I was definitely surprised to see this get a release in America. I guess the original sold well enough to warrant it's release and for that I am grateful. Fes should keep me busy for awhile or at least until GTAIV is released next week...I simply cannot wait.

The Forbidden Kingdom was Awesome!

I almost forgot to note that I managed to go and check out Jackie Chan & Jet Li's collaborative effort "The Forbidden Kingdom". The movie' s plot was nothing particularly noteworthy. Well, simply put...it was the simple awe factor of seeing these two great martial art legends trade blows. I'm a humongous fan of both of them and seeing them on screen together was simply epic. I can't wait to get this on DVD...5 stars baby!

Oh yeah Liu Yifei is as cute as she is hot..she too also receives 5 stars! (bottom left)

My Elizabethtown-Ish Experience

Today was more of a mellow day, in fact it was almost too peaceful. I slept pretty late today, I didn't home until 3:00 and it sure felt like it when I woke up.Now, backtracking I volunteered to accompany my Dad to Florida to go to a funeral for a relative I never met. I was very reluctant initially, but when I actually arrived something changed. I was enthralled with each new face that I greeted. I had a whole family that I never even knew existed. I'm regretful that I wasn't able to meet them on more cheerful terms, but the experience itself was overwhelming. I only wish that I had more time...to spend with them all. Upon my departure I felt that a part of my life had been regained or better yet found. I guess all in all it was totally worth it...I hope to return soon.

(for anyone that's seen the movie " Elizabethtown" you'll know exactly how my trip played out....except the whole hooking up with a flight attendant part...however, my girlfriend did dump me shortly before the trip...go figure.

I haven't really been posting much as of lately. I've really been working alot and by alot I mean ALOT!!! I've really started getting more into my passion for music. 2 Months and Counting....

Hola, I'm back for 17th time...I just took a little break to do some things. I won't really go into detail because i'm sure no one wants to read alllll the stuff I've been doing since my last update. Get It Before It's Gone !

Well, this is old news, but everyone knows how Geneon went belly up. Well, since that occurred everyone is out scurrying about trying to pick up what Geneon shows they missed since the whole catalogue is going out of print. I'm trying to pick up a few shows as well that I had on the backburner...with Fate/Stay Night being #1. I managed to find the Vol.#1 & #6 LE's. I also need to get the rest of Ergo Proxy and Shana. So, here's a farewell to you Geneon...we had some great memories.
